Why I work with dental practice owners

Joseph

Former founder & operator, Big 3 Diesel Repair

I Know What It’s Like to Be Stuck in Your Own Business.

For years, everything at my shop ran through me. I was the best tech in the building and the person every decision waited on. I was busy, I was making money, and I was stuck.

I recognized an operating challenge I had already worked through at Big 3 Diesel Repair, the specialized light-duty diesel pickup repair business I founded and operated, serving Power Stroke, Duramax, and Cummins vehicles. Our customers relied on specialized diagnostics, experienced technicians, and trust in our recommendations. As the business grew past $1 million in annual sales, building a business that could operate while I was physically away for weeks or months meant getting the right pieces in place. I ultimately sold the business.

Then I met Michael, an independent dentist. He wanted to work just two clinical days a week while protecting his income—but he told me he couldn’t even picture what that would look like. I could. I’d lived it. So I gave him the vision and an exact game plan to get there.

Dentistry has its own clinical responsibilities, and those stay with you. But the business around it? I’ve been you. If you’re ready to stop being stuck, let’s work together.

The connection to your practice

Different Work.
Same Moving Parts.

When I started talking with Michael about his practice, I kept hearing my own shop. Different work, different rules — but the same handful of moving parts deciding whether a business can run without its owner.

Big 3 Diesel Repair

Your practice

  • Skilled work

At Big 3 Diesel Repair: My techs handled the hard diagnostics and repairs.

In your practice: Your providers handle the diagnosis and treatment.

  • Productivity

At Big 3 Diesel Repair: I watched labor revenue and how many hours my techs were actually wrenching.

In your practice: You watch collected revenue and how many hours you’re actually treating.

  • Front of house

At Big 3 Diesel Repair: A service advisor and a manager ran the schedule, the phones, and the updates customers got.

In your practice: Front-office staff and a practice administrator run the schedule, the phones, and the updates patients get.

  • Your two jobs

At Big 3 Diesel Repair: I was turning wrenches and running the business at the same time.

In your practice: You’re treating patients and running the practice at the same time.

Better scheduling, delegation, reporting, or someone running the front of house is often what a practice needs first.

Collections aren’t profit. Supplies, labs, staff, and the building still come out of it.

We handle business operations. Clinical and patient-care decisions stay with licensed dental professionals.
